Hi, I'm Tanner

I'm a ML Research Engineer, who recently made the jump into ML full-time, after three semesters completing my M.S. in AI from UT Austin in May 2026.

My current interests are in interpretability and model evaluation. More broadly, I'm drawn towards building and discovering how technology can enable its users to do more, understand more, and depend on it less.

• 2016-2020: B.S. in Computer Science, minor in Human-Computer Interaction at CU Boulder.
• 2020-2022: Designed enterprise applications at Warner Bros.
• 2022-2025: Led and shipped customer-facing projects on directv.com as a Lead Engineer at DirecTV.
• 2025-2026: M.S. in Artificial Intelligence at UT Austin, alongside substantial freelance ML work.
• Currently: Devising interpretability techniques for JEPA-class models, building infrastructure to probe code LMs, and looking for work.
